PEDIATRIC DENTISTRY

When should my child see a Dentist

Parents may wonder why they should worry about childhood decay, since the baby teeth will be replaced by adult teeth. The problem is that decay in baby teeth can be a higher risk of decay in adult teeth. Decay that is severe enough can even harm the child's overall health.
Protect your child by visiting the dentist as soon as the first baby tooth erupts. In addition to examining teeth for cavities, your child can benefit from fluoride treatments, sealants, anticipatory guidance and dietary counseling.
